• Chief Legal Officer reporting to Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President.

• Led legal negotiations to acquire a leading U.S. wood office furniture manufacturer  to expand existing product offerings and significantly increase annual sales and profits.

• Successfully managed the legal negotiations to acquire a distributor of fireplaces and other building products that expanded distribution and increased annual revenues.

• Managed the legal negotiations to acquire an office furniture re-manufacturing and services business that extended the office furniture business segment and increased sales and profits.

• Led or managed legal work related to many other acquisitions and sales of assets and facilities.

General Counsel and Secretary, Norand Corporation

Cedar Rapids, Iowa – 1990 – 1997

• Led and managed all legal work on behalf of Norand related to the negotiated tender offer and merger of Norand and Intermec allowing shareholders of Norand to receive an 80%-90% premium to the market price of their shares.

• Initiated a patent-licensing program which has provided license fees in excess of eight figures.
